Social Media Usage for the Restaurant, Food and Beverage Industry
Social media usage has exploded. In the advertising business, we say, “follow the eyeballs.” In other words, place your messaging in the channel where people are consuming their media. More and more, people are reading the news, interacting with brands, obtaining product recommendations from friends and finding information through social media. But the benefits of social media go far beyond the number of users. It is also about relationship building in a way that is only possible in the dynamic, interactive social media environment. This presentation will address the unique requirements of developing a social media program for restaurant, food and beverage industry.
This webinar will introduce you to the most common social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc) and their applications for promoting your business to new potential customers and strengthening relationships with existing customers. Participants will review the components required to build a comprehensive social media program including channel analysis, advertising, messaging development, program and operational management, reporting and performance evaluation. This program is designed for restaurant, food or beverage industry management and/or ownership who would like to learn more about social media management or build their own program.
Kevin Ketels is the President of Kyrris Marketing. Based in Techtown in Detroit, the Kyrris team offers marketing, public relations, creative services, research, program management and training programs to a wide variety of clients in multiple industries. Kevin has more than 18 years of experience at Fortune 50 companies as well as his own agency. He is a regular speaker at conferences and workshops nationally on topics including marketing, business development and social media strategies.
In addition to his responsibilities at Kyrris, Kevin is an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at Wayne State University. He has taught a wide range of classes in the School of Business Administration including Strategic Marketing (in the MBA program), Global Supply Chain Management, Marketing Management, Advertising, Media Buying and Public Relations. Kevin is also an elected member of the Grosse Pointe Woods City Council.
