Eastside Transit Team Hosts RTA Information Meeting

The Eastside Transit Team, composed of Grosse Pointe Woods City Council Member Kevin Ketels, Harper Woods Mayor Pro tem Cheryl Costantino and Detroit City Council Member Scott Benson, are hosting an informational meeting on the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) millage proposal on Thursday, October 6, at 7 p.m. at the Harper Woods campus of Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD).

Speakers at the event will include Tiffany Gunter, RTA Deputy CEO; Dan Dirks, Detroit Department of Transportation Director and Robert Cramer, SMART Deputy General Manager. Karen Dumas of 910 AM will emcee the event, as well as host a live broadcast from 4 p.m. -7 p.m. the evening of the event at WCCCD. Maria Rivera from the League of Women Voters will moderate the question and answer session.
Food and drinks will be provided. Families are welcome. A formal presentation and Q&A will take place between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Transit and elected officials will remain until 9 p.m. to answer any additional questions from the public.
